‘A picture is worth a thousand words’: so the saying goes. Research suggests that one minute of video is worth 1.8 million words online. When it comes to producing video, it’s worth doing it right.
Matthew Harris has been producing commercial videos for nearly 20 years, working on projects large and small. His projects have been given special recognition by YouTube, and have garnered hundreds of thousands of views on social media.
Matthew marries extensive production experience with the insight and knowledge of
academic research: not least in his year-long project examining the effects of video on digital communities and online culture at the University of Cambridge.
His educational practice is wide-ranging. From delivering training in filmmaking theory and practice to diverse groups, to his annual lecture series on the media industry at Anglia Ruskin University, Matthew provides people of all ages and backgrounds with the practical skills and career knowledge they need.
